Kenpo Karate (The Law of the Fist and the Empty Hand) is a modern system for self-defense,
applying scientific and logical concepts to an ancient fighting art that will prepare you for the
dangers of todays streets.  It is part sport ... part ritual ... part self defense ... and all fighting
spirit.  When you learn kenpo you will learn the strengths and weaknesses of your own body
and how to apply that in your life.  Kenpo teaches many techniques, utilizing all parts of the
body in a hard hitting, lightning fast fighting style.  It also teaches forms (kata) and weapons.  
Kenpo is an excellent form of exercise both physically and mentally.  The most valuable
benefit of training however, will be the improved self confidence and control over your own
body that will come with continued practice.  To learn how to kick, punch or throw is the easy
part, but to learn to master one's self and to be in-tune with one's environment are just a
couple of the traits that we sense in those that have walked the martial path.  The kind of
traits that command instant respect for someone you don't even know.  Traits like these are
not obtained easily, but are just a few of the mysteries that will unlock for the serious

This system is a well balanced fighting system that utilizes the total use of your hands, arms,
and legs.  These skills are honed by practicing animal form sets, Chin’na (art of seizing and
control), and numerous techniques just to name a few.  By learning the Chinese philosophies
of Yin and Yang and the technique applications of Kung Fu, you will effectively learn to
protect yourself and others.  Kung Fu has also been studied extensively in China and proven

Western Medicine is just learning the health benefits of Tai Chi Chuan which the Chinese
have known for Centuries.  This form of exercise is widely taught to people of all ages.  It has
been clinically proven to increase ones cardiovascular health almost as much as low impact
aerobics making it ideal for high blood pressure and hypertension. In this class you will not
only learn the philosophies of Tai Chi and the health benefits but how it is used in a self-
defense role.  The system consists of the Yang Family long form (open hand form) and
various weapons as well; (Tai Chi Fan, Straight Sword and Broadsword) while teaching
students how to continue a higher health standard for the rest of their lives.  Find out more in

Sword fighting has been an art form and way of combat in Japan for hundreds of years, but it
wasn't until about 450 years ago that a man developed a special sword technique for drawing
the sword and cutting in one fluid movement.  This technique is Iaijutsu, a technique
practised and mastered by the samurai of feudal Japan.  See the
